Instructions for Parents

At Sri Kalaivani Vidyalaya Matric Hr. Sec. School, we believe that parents are partners in education. A child’s success depends on the combined efforts of the school and home. To ensure the best learning experience for every student, we request parents to follow these important guidelines:

Academic Support

1. Check your child’s school diary and notebooks daily to ensure homework and classwork are completed.

2. Motivate your child to study regularly instead of last-minute preparation for examinations.

3. Encourage reading habits, participation in co-curricular activities, and the development of communication skills.

4. Ensure that your child comes to school with all required books, stationery, and learning materials.

Communication & Monitoring

5. Report cards and answer scripts should be signed promptly and returned to the school within the given time.

6. Parents must attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) conducted every term to discuss their ward’s progress.

7. Any special concerns about academics or behavior should be discussed directly with the Principal or class teacher.

8. Maintain regular communication with teachers to track your child’s strengths and areas of improvement.

Discipline & Conduct

9. Parents should ensure that their child is punctual, disciplined, and well-groomed before coming to school.

10. Support the school’s rules regarding uniforms, behavior, and language.

11. Avoid sending children to school with mobile phones, costly ornaments, or unnecessary items.

12. Inculcate respect for teachers, peers, and elders at home to reflect positively in school life.

Attendance & Leave

13. Ensure regular attendance; avoid taking leave during working days unless absolutely necessary.

14. If a child is absent, a leave letter signed by the parent must be submitted to the class teacher.

15. Avoid long absences during examinations and tests, as this affects performance and promotion.

Partnership in Growth

16. Encourage your child to participate in sports, cultural programs, and competitions organized by the school.

17. Provide a supportive environment at home to balance studies, play, and rest.

18. Work hand in hand with the school to shape your child into a confident, responsible, and value-driven citizen.
